     EDUCATION is integrally linked to an individual's development and growth. The main emphasis of Mother Teresa Boys Home is to help the downtrodden by providing them with suitable avenues for their socio-economic upliftment and improvement in the standard of life through micro-level planning and to implement the same without the intention of earning profit, so that they can choose an enriching career with inspiring opportunities to help themselves and also help others to come up in their life.

     The Boys Home was started in 2003. The mission of Mother Teresa Boys Home is to give the children both academic and professional education.

     The home is presently run in a rented building which is moderately spacious and well furnished. Right now the inmates are studying from 5th Std to 12th Std as per TamilNadu State Board curriculum.

     After analyzing the potential and caliber of these boys, they are encouraged to pursue vocational and professional courses depending on their knowledge, skills and capabilities.

     Co-ordination and determination of standards in higher education is the main responsibility of the home. As W.B.Yeats said, “Education  is  not  the  filling of  a Pail, but the lighting of a fire” the home aims to bring up this students as energetic,Influencing leaders than to be a follower".

     The Home provides Balanced and nutritious diet, good clothing, medical and sports facilities .In order to promote moral values, the trust gives importance to spiritual activities and conducts daily prayers. There is a spiritual guardian to give proper guidance for their personality development, which disciplines them besides enabling them to live in amity and fellowship with each other.

      Each and every boy treats others as their brothers,and all share their feelings of joy and sorrow with each other creating a family atmosphere  between them that they never had a feeling of loneliness or feeling that they had missed someone in their life. All they want is to lead the same life with the intention to be self-dependant and help those who are in need. The goal of the home is to train the boys in such a way that they become useful to themselves and to the society in general and to equip them with a high sense of Moral Integrity and Intellectual Excellency.
